This sale is the first outside of Israel. Previously Elbit has only sold the simulator to the Israeli military.

This follows an earlier purchase by the Netherlands army of ‘Advanced Battlefield Management’ services from Elbit in 2008, for $40 million.

Elbit claims that it has three decades of experience in training and simulation programmes.

“Elbit Systems builds on over three decades of experience in training and simulation programs and offers comprehensive operational systems that are developed by pilots, tank commanders and naval officers. Linked together for interoperability, the Company’s training solutions replicate combat scenarios for which coordination is crucial to success.”

This is expertise developed by Israeli military in its many aggressions against its neighbours and in occupation of Palestinian territory.
